2. Hosting

3. Data collection on this website
Contact form
If you contact us via the contact form, your details from the form (name, email address, optional company name, and your message) are forwarded to us exclusively by email (SMTP). Your data is not stored in a database or CRM. The transmitted data is deleted once your enquiry has been handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling enquiries). Email is sent via our mail server at All-Inkl.com – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany; a DPA is in place. For spam prevention we use a honeypot field; no external services such as Google reCAPTCHA are used.
Newsletter (“Regulatory & Architecture Radar”)
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address solely to send you the newsletter. Sign-up uses a double opt-in procedure: after you enter your address we send a confirmation email, and we only add you to the list once you click the confirmation link. Until you confirm, your address is not stored. As proof of consent we record the time of confirmation, your IP address, and the language version used.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future — via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email, or by writing to hello@saloid.com. After withdrawal your address is removed from the distribution list.
The newsletter is sent via our mail server at All-Inkl.com – Neue Medien Münnich (Germany); a DPA is in place. We use no tracking pixels and no tracking services; we do not measure open or click rates.
Enquiry by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, request) is stored and processed for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise our legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Appointment booking via Zeeg
You can book appointments with us through our website using the tool “Zeeg” (Zeeg GmbH, Germany). The data you enter is used to plan, carry out and, where applicable, follow up the appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in arranging appointments simply). Zeeg GmbH is based in Germany and commits to processing under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). For storage locations and sub-processors, see Zeeg’s privacy policy: Zeeg privacy policy.
4. Analytics
Plausible Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics (Community Edition), self-hosted on Hetzner servers in Germany. Plausible is privacy-friendly web analytics that works entirely without cookies and collects no personal data. No IP addresses are stored, no fingerprints are created, and no tracking cookies are set. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymised analysis to improve our website). Alongside page views we record individual anonymous interaction events — such as submitting the contact form, the “was this helpful?” feedback in the journal, subscribing to the newsletter, or using the share button. These events are also recorded without cookies, without IP storage, and with no personal reference.
5. Local storage
If you choose the dark colour scheme via the theme switch, your browser stores this setting as the value saloid-theme in local storage. This is a purely functional storage you requested, with no personal reference and no tracking function (§ 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG); it is not transmitted to us or third parties. Nothing is stored on a mere visit without using the switch. You can delete the entry at any time via your browser settings.
6. Your rights
You have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection (Art. 21 GDPR)
Where we obtain your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:
